Stakeholder management is crucial in project management as each stakeholder contributes to the projected outcome. Effective stakeholder management requires a set of established skills, including empathy. Stakeholder management and relationships are not something to focus on early in the project’s early stages and then forget about as the process moves forward - commitment is key!

Stakeholder management is a broad term encompassing numerous groups and individuals, and different kinds of projects will necessitate different stakeholders. This lesson will explain what stakeholder management is, how to identify your stakeholders, and how to prioritise them. It’ll explain the process for creating a stakeholder map and the value of doing so.
