Chief Ed Mann interviews Paige Heller, Director of Clinical Services at BHS, for a critical conversation on first responder behavioral health, suicide prevention, and ways you can help make a difference for someone struggling. Hear from Paige as she discusses BHS and their partnership with Provident's First Responder Assistance Program (FRAP) -- a confidential helpline with Master’s level clinicians who provide tools and strategies to assist callers who need help. In addition, she explains the importance of making mental health a normal part of our conversations, and how department leaders can positively impact how others can seek help. She also addresses some of the warning signs of suicide.
