The adult onset of still’s disease - A conversation with Dr. Maggie Larche

You last listened July 28, 2021

What is the role of the innate immune system versus adaptative in AOSD? How to characterize patients with the different predominant forms of AOSD? Are there unique features that differentiate AOSD and sJIA, or those diseases are a unique entity? In today's episode, we discuss the pathophysiology, diagnostics, and the management of AOSD patients and the learnings that both pediatric and adult rheumatologists can share.

Our host, Dr Michelle Batthish (Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics' Division of Rheumatology at McMaster University) invites you to listen into the first episode of the first series of the One in a Million Podcast, which will serve as a background and introduction into the world of autoinflammation.

Dr Maggie Larche is a professor of medicine at McMaster University and a rheumatologist at Saint-Joseph’s Healthcare. She has an established research program focusing on imaging in early RA, exploring the immunology of rheumatoid arthritis and scleroderma, and participated in multiple cohort studies.
