INTENDED FOR UK & IRELAND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. The management of neonatal complications are complex and require a holistic approach, particularly for preterm infants who may be more vulnerable. There are many clinical challenges to consider for a neonate and these complications require round-the-clock care from a team of clinical experts in the first 24 hours of life, and considerably even days and weeks post-birth. Point of care ultrasound (POCUS) and its applications on the neonatal unit is a technology and skill that may enhance diagnostic precision and support decision making in neonatal care.(1,2) With growing interest in POCUS and its use on the neonatal unit, Chiesi has brought together a panel of neonatal clinicians to share their expertise and personal reflections in the utilisation of POCUS in clinical practice. 1.
